The sick feeling of raw shame resting heavily on me, becoming heavier as every eye bore through me. I stood with the others, and for the first time in my life, among the last. It is a custom in Federal Government Academy, to call the first and last five students for handshakes and shaming respectively. Though in the first term of my first year in SS1, I was in my lowest low on that day. Never had I failed an exam in my life, nor come out last. I lost all self confidence,; I suddenly realized I was the youngest and smallest in my class - could that be why I was the last, I thought. Looking back now, I realized what had happened.
